Golden Granola

This golden granola is a great addition to your smoothies, yogurt, or just on it's own! It is made up of crunchy nuts, seeds, cacao nibs and oats, and is subtly sweetened with agave and golden raisins. The turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom give it it's vibrant golden color and balanced spiced flavor. It also happens to be oil-free! Golden Granola

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups old fashioned oats

1/2 cup cashews, roughly chopped

1/2 cup pepitas (or any other seed of your choice)

2 tbsp hemp seeds

1/4 cup millet

2 tbsp cacao nibs

1 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cardamom

1/4 tsp nutmeg

pinch of salt

1/2 cup agave or maple syrup

1/3 cup golden raisins

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F

Roughly chop your cashews, then add them to a a large bowl along with your oats, pepitas, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, and millet. Give it a quick stir then add in all your spices and stir once more. Add your agave to the dry ingredients and give it a good toss until the agave is evenly incorporated into the mixture.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread your granola onto the sheet in an even layer. Place it on the middle rack of your oven and set a timer for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, toss your granola to prevent uneven baking. Place it back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. Remove it from the oven when it is become fragrant and has turned a toasty golden brown color.

Stir in your golden raisins and allow it to cool for at least 10-15 minutes before storing in an airtight container.
